David and Lucy Rees are 2nd generation farmers at Hardwick Farm, Pembridge. They opened their self storage facility in 2018 having significantly upgraded an 11,000 sq ft farm building. Their mixed arable and livestock farm is immaculately kept with a flock of pedigree Lleyn and Blue Texel sheep. Wheat and barley are grown for milling and oilseed rape to make cooking oil. Rye is also grown supplying a local anaerobic digester producing green energy. There are horses and even miniature donkeys stabled just next to the storage unit.
The Rees family are committed to the conservation of the countryside. They participate in a range of wildlife and biodiversity measures on the farm and over the decades have planted several woodlands. Stewardship has included the careful management of hedgerows and planting strips of winter bird seed mix each year.
Hardwick Farm is situated in an old Roman settlement between the beautiful ‘black and white’ villages of Eardisland and Pembridge. It is just off the A44 close to Leominster, Kington, Shobdon, Canon Pyon and Weobley and less than 30 minutes’ drive from Hereford and Ludlow or 20 minutes’ from Presteigne. The self storage facility has the very latest CCTV and alarm system and is very well lit and clean. David, Lucy and their family live in the adjacent farmhouse and there is always someone available to help if needed.

Firstly a huge thank you for allowing me to visit your new facility. I am delighted with everything and just wanted to put on record my thanks for a lovely introduction to your new venture. In particular for the kind and personable way in which I was made to feel welcome. I felt you demonstrated competence in your storage and made me feel confident in leaving my possessions with you.
In fact I am delighted to be one of the first people to sign up with you.
