Meet David and Lucy

David and Lucy Rees are second-generation farmers at Hardwick Farm, where the land has been carefully worked, nurtured, and improved over decades. In 2018, they diversified the farm by opening a self-storage facility, following a significant upgrade of an 11,000 sq ft traditional farm building. The development was thoughtfully designed to complement the existing farm, preserving its character while introducing a practical, modern use.

Hardwick Farm is a mixed arable and livestock holding, maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Sustainability sits at the heart of the Rees family’s approach to farming. They are actively involved in conservation initiatives and wildlife and biodiversity schemes, and over the years have planted many thousands of trees across the farm. Most recently, this long-term commitment to the land has seen the planting of a new 14-acre vineyard, adding another chapter to the farm’s evolving story.

Set within the landscape of an ancient Roman settlement, Hardwick Farm lies between the picturesque black-and-white villages of Eardisland and Pembridge. It is a location rich in history, shaped by generations of stewardship, and continues to balance working agriculture with careful innovation.
